Stompin' Dave Electric Duo
You might not have had the chance to see Dave in action, but many consider him one of the most exciting, energetic, and entertaining musicians on the current live music scene. In 2024 Dave was nominated for a _UK Blues Award._
"In other parts of the world they have cyclones, tornados, and hurricanes, in the UK we have Stompin' Dave. Dave is a phenomenal artist...A great guitar player and vocalist and accomplished songwriter...he is also an outstanding dancer... " _Blues In The South._
A prolific artist in the studio, Dave is a former member of former _UK Blues Band of the Year _The Producers. Dave has consistently given over one hundred performances per year across the UK and beyond, including many major festivals such as Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, and Bestival. "Let's face it, in adding the quality of his original material the man is a downright genius" _Blues In Britain._
With his songwriting Dave has engulfed himself in the masters of American roots music, remained true, but managed to produce "not...a sound of yesteryear that should be in a museum but real, modern and relevant that should be heard live" _Blues Matters._
Joining Dave in this lineup is Lucy Piper on drums "one of the UK's leading blues drummers" _The Guardian_. Lucy is the daughter of the late blues guitarist Julian Piper widely acknowledged as leading UK authority on blues. Julian played guitar on Lazy Lester's 1987 album _Rides Again_ which won a _Blues Music Award_. Universally recoginized as the highest award in blues music.
In 2019 and 2020 Lucy worked with double Grammy Award winning Ruf Records on their annual 'Blues Caravan'. As well as appearing on USA based Ryan Perry's album _High Risk, Low Reward_ which was nominated for a _Blues Music Award 2020._
